2026: The Three Offices of Christ
We understand from Scripture that knowing the Person of Christ and His work is essential and necessary for the salvation of those who do not yet know Him and for the maturity of believers. Jesus Himself presents salvation in terms of “knowing” God and Him. John 17:3:
“And this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.”
This knowledge is so important that the apostle Paul says believers are gradually transformed into the image of Christ as they gaze upon Him and come to know Him. 2 Cor. 3:18:
“But we all, with unveiled faces, beholding the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Lord, the Spirit.”
With the goal of knowing the excellences of Christ and being transformed into His image, let us delve into the Scriptures today, for we want to trust more fully in what He spoke as a Prophet, rest in His redemptive work and His intercession as a Priest, and live under His authority and rule as we eagerly await His soon return as King.
